I'm Free Again

I am finally off of QRF, my first stop is right here at the MWR. It is nice being able to use your free time how you want. Being stuck in the barracks was getting on everybody's nerves. I start guard duty tonite at 2100 hours until 0600 in the morning for 1 week. I would like to thank everyone for checking this site out. We have a mechanic here named Johnson and his father found this web site. It is amazing how many people have bumped into it. If anyone would like to email me directly you can use jeremy.satterlee@gmail.com. I might be able to give you more detailed information about friends and family on the FOB or other general questions. I will be updating every couple of days while I get the chance. By the way, since all of the mud has dried up and we have been able to settle in a little, FOB Normandy is not so bad. Keeping checking my site and tell your friends. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE

I am still alive and well but very tired. We are doing QRF ( Quick Reaction Force) and have to be ready to leave the FOB in thirty minutes. Today is the first day we have been allowed to use the internet. They are afraid if we are here we might not make our departure time if called. I have went out on several missions in the last couple of days. I have not slept more than 4-5 hours in a row. I should be off of QRF on Thursday so I should be able to get to the MWR and start updating more often. There have been no attacks on the FOB and all missions have gone successfully. I know a lot of people are praying for us and it is working. Mail is just now starting to come in to our company but unfortunately I have not received any. I just have to be patient. I will try to update soon.

I Finally Made It

This will be a short post. I made to FOB Normandy. The conditions here are horrible. There is mud everywhere and are rooms have no furnishings. They are converted prison cells. There is no PX here and very little to do. I am at the MWR typing this with a computer with missing keys. I cannot use phonecards here so please do not send them. My spirits are high though. We should start doing missions soon. Looking forward to everyones comments. I love you all.

Leaving for Iraq Soon

I will be leaving to go up north soon. It has been very busy here and I have not had a lot of free time. After I have been to my new destination for about 10 days the updates on my site will start popping up all the time. I will also be able to put some pictures up as well. I will try to get a webcam started as well. Please everyone be patient, keep the comments coming andI will post back soon.
