Help, We Are All Going Insane!

Ok maybe not insane but close too it. Our platoon is craving entertainment. We have no television to watch so we watch DVD's on our laptops. Problem is we have watched everything we have. Every DVD has been passed from room to room and back again. The only DVD's we can buy here are bootleg copies that were filmed in movie theaters. This is of course illegal but I am sure copyright infringement is not enforced here in Iraq. If anyone would like to donate new or used DVD's it would be greatly appreciated. We are looking for boxed sets such as ALIAS, The Sopranos, CSI, The Wire, basically any set that has multiple episodes. Anyone who donates a boxed set to our platoon will receive a platoon picture personally thanking you for saving us from the looney bin.

Everyone is doing well here, we just got a new soldier attached to us. He is a SSG and is going to go to officer school to become an Armor Officer. We all just got back from a mission together this morning. Keep praying for us and our new addition.

Hi!

I am a Spanish 28-year-old girl who spent time in Iowa City from 1999 to 2001 and taught a class to Rinthea. I got an email from her that talked about you and I felt like dropping a line and sending you all a lot of positive energy and courage. I hope you take care and that you can come home safely and soon:) Rinthea is a lovely person. I miss her!She doen´t even know I´m getting in touch with you!
All the best to you and your family.

Happy 32nd birthday from Mama Lydia. Wow...where have all those years gone? Seems like just yesterday I was out flying kites with my brother John..two days before you were born. It was such beautiful weather. On the eve of your birth Wayne and I had sauerkraut and weiners. So when labor began I started belching sauerkraut & weiners...yummy :(
So it went for 7 long/short hours. I dealt with the pain by singing/whistling "Pop goes the weasle". When you finally arrived you had a real "cone head" which you kept for a few weeks. I remember watching people's expressions when they looked at your head. I am so glad you are now "normal".

It is incredible when you review the events of your life, to see just how you survived all the obstacles and challenges that were placed in your path, and how it was that you arrived at this place.

Take care and enjoy the adventures life has brought your way.

Love
Mama Lydia

Happy Birthday Jeremy!
My name is Alicia and I used to work with Rin at McLeod, of course she got smart and moved on and I'm still stuck here. I really miss Rin and all of her stories! She always had so much of her life to share with all of us and I remember your name coming up more than once....all good things of course. I am really glad to hear that things are going well for all of you, I pray that it stays that way. I hope you have a wonderful birthday and a safe journey!
